Just an hours drive from Roscoff ferry port and ideally situated in the south of the Parc Naturel Regional d’Armorique it is a great base for discovering Finistere.
Port Launay is 2 kms from Chateaulin with all its restaurants, shops and bars.

Travel Options
We generally use the Plymouth-Roscoff overnight ferry. It only takes an hour from Roscoff ferry port to the house. Also the Portsmouth-St Malo overnight ferry is an option. Shorter ferry journeys are Poole-Cherbourg in 4 hours and Portsmouth-Cherbourg do a fast craft which takes 3 hours in high season.
It takes two and a half hours to drive to the house from St Malo and four hours drive from Cherbourg.
You can fly to Brest Airport from Exeter, Southampton, Edinburgh, Manchester, Birmingham and the East Midlands. It is a half an hour drive to the house from Brest Airport and there is car hire available at the airport.
Prices vary depending on the time of year. We came over in early November and apart from the cost being cheap, the autumn colours reflected in the canal were stunning!
Reviews
This was a really special find! A very well kept and beautifully decorated cottage in an area of Brittany with a lot to do. The guest book has of lot of suggestions and if you are unsure of anything just get in touch with Liz. We had a brilliant week and explored as far as Dinan on day trips. The cottage is very private and convenient and we never missed TV or Wi-Fi! We will certainly recommend the cottage and area to anyone.

This is a lovely little house in a great location. Lots of helpful information is provided and the house is very well equipped in spite of being small. I hope to return sometime, which is perhaps the best recommendation.

A tiny house with a big view!
This property was a little but perfectly appointed cottage. Everything that was needed was there and there were some nice touches, such as a well-stocked wood pile for the stove and the boules pitch.
There are a range of attractions in the area to appeal to different interests; walking, beaches, cycling, historic and picturesque towns, and beautiful coastlines and scenery.
The real life view depicted on the photographs down towards Port Launay from the house did not disappoint.
A perfect retreat for a quiet and peaceful stay.
